This site is dedicated to pictures and histories from the fantastic lighthouses along the norwegian coastline. Most of them are owned by the state, and many of them are open for the public. Then you can stay the night for a cheap price, and have a magnificent view over the ocean. The placement of the lighthouses is often very rough, and a lot of histories tell about storms and tragedies. Today sattellites and computers have made the lighthouses unnecessary for the traffic along the coast. But, the buildings are wonderful treasures with a lot of interesting history to tell! That is why we buld this website - to broaden the interest for the lighthouses in Norway. Søndre Katland
Unfortunately the lighthouse is in bad shape, but som private persons in Farsund try to take care of this fantastic place. Lista
